Week of May 25, 2025

  • Our mission to support the LCC K-9 comfort dogs organization is in its last week. Please send your child's mite box to turn in on our closing chapel on Friday, May 30th.
  • Our closing chapel service is FRIDAY, May 30th at 8:25. Weather permitting, chapel will be outside on the west lawn.  Please send a beach towel with your child on Friday so they have something soft to sit on.
  • Our field trip is on Tuesday, May 26. If you are chaperoning, please meet us at Betty Brinn Children's Museum, 929 E Wisconsin Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53202. If you are curious about creating a car pool, the following people have volunteered to chaperone: Justin Brooks, Holly Juedes, Jill Kellerman, Jess Loppnow, Rebecca Schultz, and Melissa Senkbeil. Please meet us at the museum at 9:00.

The museum is only able to validate parking in the Museum Center Park directly below our. Guests may access the Museum via elevator or stairs.

    • A $3-off discount is available for Museum guests (receive your voucher at the Museum’s admissions desk). Rates may change during festival season in downtown Milwaukee.
    • $3 flat-rate parking is available for Museum Members (you will receive a voucher when checking in at the Museum’s admissions desk and pay in the parking structure). Rates may change during festival season in downtown Milwaukee.

They recommend following wayfinding signs to the West elevators when visiting the Museum. Additional parking structures in the area are available. On-street metered parking options are also available on several streets in the area.

  • Please make sure your child's lunch and beverage is packed in a DISPOSABLE bag. Soda is not allowed on field trips. I will have a cooler with ice to keep our lunches cold.  We will be eating lunch at Centennial Park.  We will need a chaperone to take our coolers back to school so we don't have to walk them back from the park.  Could you please let me know if you would be willing to assist?
  • Wednesday is classroom clean-up day.  Please send a bag with you child so they may bring home their belongings.

Look What We Are Learning

Religion: Each one of us is important to Jesus; Our lessons: Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind and The Ten Lepers from John 9 and Luke 17

Friendzy goal for May: TO UNDERSTAND HOW TO MAKE WISE CHOICES AND DO WHAT IS RIGHT.  Our catchphrase is Do the Next Right Thing. Make sure read about Friendzy this month in our Echo!

And you shall do what is right and good in the sight of the Lord, that it may go well with you, and that you may go in and take possession of the good land that the Lord swore to give to your fathers. Deuteronomy 6:18
