  • Our LJHA is holding their annual Puppy Chow and Rice Krispie Treat sale on Tuesday, May 13th.  Puppy Chow is $3 and the Rice Krispie treats are $2.  All proceeds go to supporting our sponsored students, their families, and their community through Building Hope in Haiti.
  • On May 27th, the K-2 students will be taking their end of the year field trip to Betty Brinn Children's Museum. Additional information regarding this trip will be sent home soon. This school year, St. Paul is requiring all chaperones that attend field trips to take part in a background check. You can access the background check information on our school website under the resources tab, or you can follow the link here: https://www.splgrafton.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Background-Check-Request.pdf.  Please print the form, fill it out and then return it to the school office or your classroom teacher by May 2nd. Next, you will be contacted via email and will need to follow the directions for the background check.  If you would like to help cover the $7 background check fee, please submit this payment with your form. This payment is optional. Thank you for your understanding with this process, and please reach out if you have any questions!
  • Next week, your child will be taking the MAP test. MAP stands for Measure of Academic Progress. It is a computerized, adaptive assessment developed by NWEA that measures student achievement and growth in mathematics and reading. MAP tests are used to track student progress throughout the school year and inform instruction. During this time, students often feel stressed and anxious and could use motivation from their loved ones.  You can play an important role in providing a letter to your child to support their efforts in the coming weeks.  You received a white envelope last week. In that envelope there were instructions and a blank sheet that you can use to encourage your child.  Please use this opportunity to let your child know they have learned so much again this year! God has gifted them with gifts and talents. We are collecting the letters and will be handed to children right before they take the test on their assigned day! Grades K-5 and 8 will start testing May 5th. Thank you for your support!
  • Students may wear shorts during the months of August, September, October, May and June or at discretion of the Principal. Shorts must be mid-thigh length or longer and may have a decorative frayed hem. Spandex, biker shorts, cutoffs (jeans or sweat pants), torn shorts, tight or short shorts, and athletic shorts are not permitted. Students in Kindergarten-4th Grade may wear athletic shorts on non-chapel days. During the months of August, September, October, May and June students may wear dress shorts. On chapel days, the following attire is not appropriate:
    • denim (any color)
    • T-shirts
    • Sweatshirts
    • uniform/athletic clothing
    • leggings not covered by mid-thigh length skirt, dress, sweater or blouse.
  • For the months of April and May, our chapel offerings will be sent to support the LCC K-9 comfort dogs organization. This ministry, which began in 2008, works to help bring comfort to people through the calming presence of Golden Retrievers.  Thanks to generous donors, this ministry is free for everyone they help. Our contributions can help ensure that this special service continues to be available to those who need it! Each student will also be given a Mite box to collect donations. These should be turned in by our closing chapel on Friday May 30th.
