Happy Friday!

It was a great first week of school.  We have been practicing the middle school routines, hoping to get into great habits for an organized school year!  Please check your child’s assignment notebook each night.  If you don’t see anything written in it, please talk to them.   I would love to talk to them about that also, please send me an email. ( I will read Elizabeth’s email everyday.)  It’s so important that they keep track of what assignments have been given and what is due each day.

A couple of important announcements as we look forward to another week in 6th grade:

• Tuesday – September 1st is BACK TO SCHOOL night.  It starts at 6 in the Family Life Center with announcements from Mr. Yurk and then will break out into sessions in the classroom.  Band meetings will be at 7:15 or 8:00 pm.
• There will be NO SCHOOL on Friday, September 4th or Monday, September 7th to celebrate Labor Day.  Enjoy your long weekend!
• October 2nd is the due date for the World Landmark Project.  Please mark it on your calendar and ask your child to see the rubric for the project.

Once again, thank you for a wonderful start to the school year!  It’s great to be back together!

Please see my webpage for more important updates, dates, and what your child can expect from the upcoming week in each class: https://www.splgrafton.org/school/academics/fifth-grade-wulfkuhle/

Enjoy your weekend!
