Heide serves as the director of bands at St. Paul, and also teaches Kindergarten-2nd Grade music. She has been blessed to be a part of music and worship ministries at churches in Michigan, St. Louis and Southern California before moving to Wisconsin, and she loves being able to share this love and passion with her students–not only of music, but ways to use music in worship of our Savior Jesus Christ.
After attending Lutheran Elementary and High school, Heide earned a bachelor’s degree in Composition & Music Theory from Michigan State University, a Master’s Degree in Worship & Theology from Concordia Seminary St. Louis, and a Director of Parish Music (DPM) certificate from Concordia University Irvine.
Heide enjoys performing as a flutist, vocalist, and on handbells. She loves to continue learning at conferences and events with other musicians, teachers and worship leaders. Other hobbies include playing or watching volleyball, hiking and spending time with family. Her husband Michael teaches Biology at Concordia University Wisconsin, and they have three children.
“I appreciate the unique opportunity at St. Paul to not only share my love of music with each student who enters my classroom, but also for them to see how they can use music to worship and serve their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.”
Praise Him Always!
“Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:19-20
