Music

If you have any questions, please contact Miss Bremer: valerie.bremer@splgrafton.org

The music program at St. Paul Lutheran Church & School seeks to make music a daily part of our Christian life as Scripture tells us.

“Addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Eph. 5:19-20)

We believe that by nurturing a love of music, it becomes a powerful tool to learn and reinforce Scripture. By becoming a music-maker, students can personally express themselves and their faith. Students learn to serve God continually with their gifts in worship and in all areas of their lives. Both individually and working together we offer Him our very best as we constantly strive for excellence.

Music in Worship
All students in PK – 8th will sing/play in worship several times each year because gathering in worship and teaching service to God are part of our St. Paul community values. Students are also part of Christmas services and each week gather & sing together in chapel. Extracurricular groups (see below) are also scheduled to serve in worship throughout the year. We are looking forward to worshiping with you!

Curricular Music
All students in Grades K-4 receive music instruction 2 times each week. Beginning in grade 5, students have the option to either be in band or in a general music class.

Extracurricular Music
There are 6 extracurricular musical options at different levels for students to be involved in. There are 4 vocal groups: Children’s Choir (Gr. 1-2), PraisePower (Gr. 3-4), JiVE (Gr. 5-8), and Chapel Singers (Gr. 6-8).
