Memory Work

The purpose of memory work is to impress God's Word upon our students' minds and hearts, so that they may know what His Word says (mind) and live it out in their speech and actions (heart).  Deuteronomy 6:6-7 says: "And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.  You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise."

Memory will include Scripture, portions of the Catechism, and at times songs or speaking parts, which will be incorporated throughout the week's lesson.  Students will be given an opportunity to delve deeper into the meaning and apply it in their lives through journaling, role-playing, artwork or other activities.
