We will continue our PreK Wrap up from last week. Concepts that
we have learned throughout the year will be reviewed. Since
we are not able to go on our field trip to the pond, we will
explore the world of frogs on Wednesday.
We will conclude our week distance learning this Thursday. If
you haven't already signed up for a spot in our drive through
graduation, please use this link to do so. We have added spots to
accomodate all of you. If you have a conflict, please let me know
so we can make other arrangements.
Thank you for your help these past weeks with distance learning
for your child. Thank you also for choosing St. Paul Lutheran
School. Continue this interest in your child's education. Our
school theme this past year was "Made to Reflect." I have
seen each child excel this year. Continue a life where you
REFLECT GOD in all that you say and do. Each of your children
and your families have touched my life in a very special way. God's
blessings to you and your families in the future. I look
forward to seeing you all this coming Tuesday.

Weekly Note May 11-15,
2020 PreK Wrap Up
It's hard to believe that we are in our final two weeks of
preschool! We will be doing activities to sharpen our preschool pre
academic skills. We will read the story "The Crayon Box that
Talked" and we will complete an activity where you can share how
God made you special and unique! We will practice our shapes
through "Mouse Shapes" story and activities, our letters through
"Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" and our numbers through "5 Red Apples"
finger play song. There will be additional activities for you to
challenge yourself too! Please remember to do the
activities as your time permits.
You do not have to do them every day and you do not need to do all
of the activities. Pick and
choose what is best for you and what you feel
meets your child's needs!
After going through the surveys that we sent out, Mr. Yurk has
decided to use Friday, May 15th and Friday May
22nd as Professional Development and work days
for the teachers. I will not be posting any activities on these
We are in the process of planning a "drive though" graduation

certificate, have a photo opportunity (no lingering or touching)
and to pick up your letter binder and memory book. Watch for
details emailed to you soon!

The theme for the week is "Animal Addresses." We will explore
various animal coverings, characteristics and habitats. The
letter we will learn is "Z" for zeros and zoo. This is our
final letter for the year! Enjoy doing animal activities this
week. Friday we will focus on Mother's Day. The story will be
"Are You My Mother?" There will be a song and activities attached
for Mother's Day.
Our Bible lesson will be "Noah's Ark" from Genesis
6. We will learn that God loves us and takes care
Some people have requested that we have our classroom chat
during the week rather than the weekend. We will have our class
"chat" this week Thursday at 6:30 pm for the AM Class and 7:00 pm
for the PM Class. The theme for our Show and Tell is
"animals." You can show a live one, stuffed one, a picture of
one or anyway you'd like to talk about an animal. Hopefully a
lot of you, if not all of you, can join us. I will be taking a
class picture of all of the kids during our chat to put in their
Friday I mailed you another envelope. It is a Mother's Day
Surprise! There are 2 things to make and 1 family
activity. Please share these with your mom when you are
finished with them. An adult (other than mom) or older
sibling will have to help their child(ren) with these. Thanks for
the extra help!
Thanks to all of you who took "Flat Mrs. Brueggemann" around
this past week. It sure was fun seeing everything she did. I truly
Have a blessed week!

Our Pre-K theme this week is "Safety Smart." We will talk about
ways to be safe both inside and outside of our homes. The letter we
will be introduced to is "X." We will identify activities with
an "X" if they are not a safe thing to do. We will explore
safety at home, fire safety, playground safety, safety in the
neighborhood and body safety.
Our Bible lesson will be the Good Samaritan from Luke 10:25-37.
We will talk about how Jesus wants us to be a neighbor to others by
showing kindness. Talk with your child about how we can show
kindness to people around us.
Thank you for your participation in our Seesaw activities.
Please remember, participate as you can. I do realize some of you
have many children that share the computer or iPad. Please choose
what fits your child's needs the best. You do not have to do
every activity, every day. I do love to see and hear all of the
responses you are sending. I truly appreciate it.
"Flat Mrs. Brueggemann" was mailed to your home. This is a
take-off from the Flat Stanley books where after surviving being
squashed flat while sleeping by a falling bulletin boa,
he survives and makes the best of being flat, and soon Flat Stanley
is entering locked rooms by sliding under the door, being rolled up
to go out to the park and playing with his younger brother by being
used as a kite. Some of you have shown me that "Flat Mrs.
Brueggemann" has already arrived at your house. Please take
me on lots of adventures this week. If you can join us
for our chat on Saturday, May 2nd, I'd love for you to tell us some
of the adventures we've been on.
AM Google Chat is 10:00 am.
PM Google Chat is 10:30 am.
Thanks to all of you who were able to do a recycling project.
There were many creative things. It was fun to see all of
