Age 3 Pre-K — Weekly Updates

Weekly Note Oct. 19-23, 2020 Pumpkins

Pumpkins

This week, we will have fun learning about pumpkins.  We will learn about how pumpkins grow and their life cycle. We will explore the inside of a pumpkin and practice counting seeds.  We will be practicing the letter "P" for pumpkin in our letter journals. Our Bible lesson will be God Has a Plan for Joseph from Genesis 37. We will talk about how God forgives us and is always with us.

We will be having a classroom Fall Party on October 28 & 29. The kids will be playing fall games in the classroom throughout their class session. I would like to put together goody bags for the kids after they participate in the games. If you would like to donate a small prize (MWF AM - 12, MWF PM - 5, and TTH - 7 pencils, stickers, bracelets or treat that is store bought and individually wrapped); please bring it to school by Monday October 26 or Tuesday October 27. I will put the goody bags together and give them to the kids after at the end of the day. Thank you for your help and cooperation!

The St. Paul Auction is coming up soon! We will be holding a virtual auction this year due to Covid restrictions. Please mark your calendar for Saturday November 14th to join in on the fun! Our Auction theme is Thankful, Grateful and Blessed! The Preschool Classes will be putting together an auction basket under the theme "Happy at Home" that will be up for bidding. The room parents are asking that donations be monetary so that we are not bringing things into the building. They will purchase items for you to fill the basket. If you have any questions, please contact your room parent. If you know of a business that would be willing to donate an item or if you would like to donate something, please contact me. I am on the committee and would love to answer any questions that you may have regarding a donation.

As the colder weather approaches, please make sure that your child has a warm coat and hat. We will be going outside on days that the time and weather permits. We also will experience more of our classmates with colds and runny noses. Please continue to reinforce sneezing in our arms, blowing noses and washing hands to ensure that we are doing all that we can to stay healthy! It is important to follow the Covid guidelines & questions for attending school. Thank you for your cooperation!
