October 5-9, 2026 "Community Helpers"
This week, we will be learning about the many opportunities that we have for our futures. The children will be introduced to different kinds of occupations that they can consider as they grow up, as we learn about community helpers. We will play games, read stories, and do various activities to learn about these opportunities. Please take the time to talk with your child about what you do each day. We all play an important part in raising our children and helping others in our community! We will also practice the letter “Dd” for doctor in our letter journals. Our Bible lesson will be God Answers Abraham’s Prayer for a Son from Genesis 15-17. We will talk about how God wants us to take time each day to talk to Him and how He hears and answers our prayers.

The Preschool classes are singing in church on Sunday, October 11th at the 11:00 am service. The children should sit with you and the pastor will call us up to sing. This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to share their love for Jesus with other people in the congregation.
October Calendars were sent home last week, along with a permission slip for our field trip to the pumpkin farm. Please return your form to me with payment by October 9th. If you are planning to come along, please make sure that you have taken care of your background check.
Please note the dates of the Fall Party and put it on your calendar. We love to have adult family members help us with this special activity! Watch for a Sign-Up sent home soon through email.
Scholastic Book Order forms came home last week. Please also visit the website https://clubs.scholastic.com/ to see a bigger selection of books and to place your order. I attached a coupon for a free book this month, so make sure to put your code in with your order to receive your free book!
The St. Paul Benefit Auction will be taking place in our Family Life Center under the theme “Roll Out the Red Carpet”. There will be an online silent auction before the night of the event, along with on-site silent auction items and a live auction. This is a fun-filled event that you don’t want to miss! In addition, our Pre-K classes will be putting baskets together for the auction under the theme “Family Adventures”. Our Room Parents have sent out emails explaining the ways that you can donate to our Pre-K basket. Please reach out to your room parent or me if you have any questions. Thank you for your consideration in donating. We appreciate all of our preschool families and hope you can attend the auction for some fun and fellowship.
Information was sent home last week about our partnership with Los Amates, Guatemala. Please pray and consider signing up to sponsor a child. If you have any questions, please email or call me. I will be going to Guatemala in November and would love to tell you all about this wonderful mission opportunity.
