week of Apr. 16- things with wings
This week, 2K will pretend to fly, create some critters with wings, and continue our discussion and play with eggs and birds. We will do one of our favorite "look-and-find hunts" around the school. If the picture has wings, we'll flap and let it fly to our basket. If it does not we'll leave it on the wall. Our spring assessment activities have begun. Little by little over the next month, we'll practice one on one, and have students show their basic recognition skills, tracing and fine motor skills. We make it into a little game and assess what we can while they are simply playing too. They are doing great.
Jesus time: We will hear the story of Jesus' ascending into heaven. While we often think of heaven as being above the clouds, Jesus did not "fly" there like animals with wings. He went to be with God where He watches over and cares for all the people of Earth. He helps us and is our leader every day even though we can see Him. We can praise the Lord every day. That is the title of a new song we are learning. We are invited to sing with 3K and 4k for when they sing in church in May. ( See in important dates below)

Tues. April 16th- Spring celebration egg hunt!! . We will walk over to providence place as a class near the end of our session. Thank you for signing the updated permission slips. The weather looks to be beautiful again and the residents are looking forward to getting them ready and hiding for us. We will head back up to carport entrance for a regular dismissal as well.
