Welcome to 2nd grade!
- Picture Day and Orientation Day: This Thursday, August 20th, from 10:00am-12:00pm and 4:00-6:00pm. Families can come anytime during either session. This is your opportunity to say hello in person, drop off school supplies, get school pictures taken, and explore the classroom before our first day! Please also take the time to fill out the “Tell the Teacher More” form and bring it with you that day.
- Backpack Blessing and Teacher Installation Services: Sunday, August 23rd at 9:30am and 11:00am. You are welcome to attend either service.
- First Day of School: The first day of school is on Tuesday, August 25th! Please have your child enter through the main school entrance by 8:15am. You’re welcome to walk your child upstairs during the first week.
- Opening Chapel Change! Opening Chapel will take place on Wednesday, August 26th at 8:25 for K-8. As always, parents are welcome to join us for chapel throughout the year. Chapel will also be available online as well.
- Panther Parents Welcome Back to School Event: Make plans now to join us on Thursday, August 27th from 4:30-6:30pm for our Panther Parent Back to School Event. 8th Grade families will be sponsoring the food for the event. The goal of this event is to help build community early in the school year, allow new families to meet other families in their child’s classes, and to set a positive tone for the year.
- K-8 Welcome Back to School Meetings: Tuesday, September 1st beginning at 6:00pm in the FLC. Families are expected to attend their classroom teacher’s meeting one of the two times that it is offered and the Large Group Meeting. You will notice there are two Classroom Meeting times to accommodate those families that have multiple children so you can attend two different classrooms in one evening. These meetings are for parents only.
- No School: Friday, September 4th and Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.
