September 8-11, 2026 “Jesus Wants Me to Bee”
This week in 4K we continued learning our classroom rules and routines. We went to the library for the first time and started working in our alphabet books and math journals. We focused on the letter Xx as well as sorting by color. During our Bible lessons we learned about how God created our world.
Next week we will talk about how Jesus wants us to be kind, loving, and helpful. We will work on the letter B in our alphabet books. During math we will continue to work on sorting by color as well as practice writing the number 1. We will also make a class friend book. Our Bible lessons will be about Adam and Eve.
Be on the lookout for an additional email regarding our Preschool/Kindergarten Popsicles and Play date. This is a family event for students in preschool and kindergarten and will be held in the lower parking lot at St. Paul. Students can come from 5:30-6:30 on September 23 to enjoy a Popsicle and play with friends. This is a great opportunity for families to get to know each other as well. Please use the google form in that email to sign up and RSVP. If you aren’t able to attend, you do not need to complete the form. The event is held weather permitting. If we need to cancel due to inclement weather, a rain date will be scheduled.
Speech screening will be taking place next week Tuesday and Wednesday. Mrs. Ahrens will have a short evaluation sheet that will be sent home once your child has completed their screening. Remember, you must complete the permission slip in order for your child to be screened. If you didn’t do so and would still like to have them screened for free, please let me know.
I also wanted to make a correction on Chapel envelopes. I forgot we didn’t have Chapel this week due to no school Friday. Envelopes will start to come home next week.
