Here are your updates for the final week before spring break:

• Family day is this upcoming Friday, March 18. If you have not filled out the class survey from our last newsletter, please let me know this weekend how many family members you plan on having attend. 
  • The day begins with arrival between 8am and 8:15am, chapel from 8:30-9:10, followed by activities in the classroom until dismissal at 11. During this time, guests may rotate between classrooms if they are visiting multiple students. We are very excited to show you a day in 4th grade!
• Please note: Dismissal next Friday is at 11AM.
• Spring break is the following week: March 21-25. Enjoy the break!!
• Tonight is March Madness at St. Paul! Events kick off in the gym at 6PM. I hope to see you there!
• Puppy Chow and Rice Krispy treat sale: A huge thank you for supporting Building Hope in Haiti during our Rice Krispy treat and Puppy Chow sale this week! I attached a thank you note from our National Lutheran Junior Honor Society.

  • For Tuesday: “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us” (Hebrews 12:1)
  • For Thursday: The Ninth Commandment- You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not scheme to get our neighbor’s inheritance or house, or get it in a way which only appears right, but help and be of service to him in keeping it.
• Spelling: Our focus for the following week are Latin roots (-dic/speak, -loc/place, -port/carry, and -rupt/break).
