I hope you are all doing well and staying healthy. Here are a few updates from 4th grade for the coming week:

• Scholastic book orders were sent out yesterday. Please submit book orders by January 21 if you are interested.
• Camp Luther forms were also sent home yesterday. If your child has not attended Camp Luther before and would be interested in attending this summer, submit this form no later than Monday for a chance to win a free week.
• Our class as a whole has recently been struggling using fidgets as tools to help us focus. I have asked the students not to bring them into class starting this week. 
• We started MAP testing this week with the reading test, and will conclude next week with our math test.
• Our Christian Character formation story for the week is Jesus heals, prays, and preaches. We will be reading Mark 1:29-45. 
• Memory:
  • For Tuesday: “For the Son of Man came to seek and save the lost” (Luke 19:10).
  • For Thursday: “And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.'” (Mark 16:15)
• Spelling: Our spelling focus for next week is contractions.
