This week in 2K we will take a closer look at all of the shapes we see around us daily.   We will simply talk more about shapes as we see them in the classroom and practice saying their name. We often clap out the syllables as we say new or “fancy” words such as tri-an-gle.    2K will do some shape sorting at circle time as well to make a group project for the hallway.  Bingo dot activities and books will give us some more practice in naming shapes. We’ll each get to take home a not so scary “Shape Monster” and feed him shapes with a little rhyme.:-)

Jesus time:  We will look at how different each shape is and share that God made us all different and special too.  Some rhymes or songs to help us;

God made me(point to self) I am the only me I see( put hand over eyes)

Snack/Star of the week this week

M,W class– leftovers

T,TH. class- Charlie

 Some great snack ideas include: Goldfish, applesauce pouches, yogurt( big container we can scoop from is fine) , pirate booty, yogurt bites/melts, graham crackers, bananas (we can slice),grapes we can cut into quarters, cheerios or other small cereal, muffins, and soft Nutrigrain type bars. It does not need to be in individual packages. Thank you!
