Our theme for this week is “Under Construction.” We will be putting our building skills to the test with blocks, legos, and other manipulatives. The kids will get to learn all about different tools and machines that help with construction. Keep your eye out for different diggers when you are in the car especially if you are on the freeway. There are so many construction vehicles around our homes these days. We will be learning T-Ball in gym and enjoying the beautiful weather outside with our friends. Our Bible story for the week is “An Angel Opens the Prison Doors.”
We will be having our final field trip to Roden’s Barnyard on Monday, May 23. The bus will leave at 8:30 and return at 10:45. Each child will receive a cup of vanilla Cedar Crest ice cream on our trip. We hope you can join us and enjoy one last class adventure this school year.
Wednesday, May 25, our class will be having an ice cream party to celebrate a fun year together and Henry’s birthday. I will bring in a variety of toppings for the kids which they will be voting on in class this week.
Closing chapel will take place Friday, May 27, at 10:00am. Please drop your child off in our classroom around 9:50 and then you may go and find a spot in the sanctuary. The kids will sing a few of their favorite songs from the year, Mr. Yurk will give a message and then they will be dismissed to you for the summer. Feel free to take pictures of your child with classmates or teachers in the sanctuary, outside or in the family life center after the service. We will not be meeting for normal school this day.
