Our theme for this weeks is “Winter Olympics.” We will learn about the winter Olympics and explore some of the different events that athletes participate in. We will paint a picture of the Olympic rings; learn about the gold, silver and bronze medals and make a torch to bring home. We will also be making an American flag to represent our country. Our Bible story this week is “Nicodemus.”
We will be having an outside play day on Monday. Please bring a warm coat, snow pants, boots, a hat and mittens. We will be going out at the end of our day, so please just bring your child’s outside clothes in a bag.

We will be having our classroom Valentine’s Day party on Monday February 14th. Please use the “labels,” that were sent home today, for their valentines. They can cut them apart and glue or tape them to the front of their valentines. I would like them to try to write their name on the back of their cards to sign them. This may take some kids awhile, so try to do a couple at a time. The kids will be delivering their valentines to their friends by using the numbers on the labels. They will be matching the numbers and letter in their name to the correct Valentine Mailbox. We will be making a Valentine box at school to collect our special cards. Please bring an empty cereal box for your child to use to collect their valentines. Room Parents will be sending a sign up out to bring items for the party. Please check the sign up to see if there is anything that you can donate. Thank you for your help!
