“Jesus Wants Me to BEE”
The 3 Pre-K Classes had another fun filled week! We had fun last week getting to know each other and learning about our classroom routines and rules. Thank you so much for bringing your child to St. Paul! I look forward to working with them this year!
This week will enjoy activities around the theme “Jesus Wants Me to Bee.” We will talk about how Jesus wants us to “Bee”-have by “BEEing Kind, Loving, and Helpful. We will be making a little BEE headband with reminders to Bee Kind, Bee Loving, and Bee Helpful! We will also be working on the letter “B” in their ABC Journal, counting bees on a beehive, and practicing our fine motor skills through fun-filled activities. The children will be making a friendship book to take home this week. They will cut out pictures of their new friends and make them into a book so they can practice learning their names. Please take time to read this book over and over with your child so that they can start to remember the names of their new friends at school. Our Bible Lesson will be God Made All Things from Genesis1. We will talk about how God made all things for us, and He promises to take care of us.
Speech Screening will take place on Wednesday and Thursday this week through Ahrens Speech and Language Services. Thank you for returning your permission slip to have your child participate in the screening. Please watch for a paper sent home with the results of the screening. Please remember to have your child bring his/her book and book bag back to school on their library day so that they can check out a new book. The Mon/Wed/Fri PM Class will not go to the library this week since we do not have school on Monday.
Mark your calendar for Wednesday, Sept. 23rd! The Early Childhood and Kindergarten Classes are hosting a “Popsicles and Play” event from 5:30-6:30. Come to our lower parking lot to enjoy a popsicle and enjoy meeting other families in our Early Childhood Program! You can sign up through this link: Popsicles & Play Sign Up
The St. Paul Benefit Auction will be taking place in our Family Life Center under the theme “Roll Out the Red Carpet”. There will be an online silent auction before the night of the event, along with on-site silent auction items and a live auction. This is a fun-filled event that you don’t want to miss! If you would like to make a donation, or know of a business that would be willing to donate an item or money, please let me know!
