This week our theme is “Nuts about Numbers.” In our letter journals, we will be working on the letter “C” for count. We will practice writing both the letter C and the numbers 0-5. We will also work on number recognition and counting through books and activities. We will read and sing along to Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons by Eric Litwin. We will do Pete the Cat-themed number matching and counting activities to go along with the story.
Our Bible lesson this week is God Saves Noah and His Family. We will talk about how God showed His love for Noah and his family by saving them from the flood. We will also talk about how we should thank God for sending Jesus to save us from our sin.
Next week our theme will be Community Helpers. If you would like to come in and talk to the kids about your job, please contact me and we will set up a time for you to visit!
October calendars were sent home last week, along with a permission slip for our field trip to the pumpkin farm. Please return your form to me with payment by October 9th. If you are planning to come along, please make sure that you have taken care of your background check. Please note the dates of the Fall Party and put it on your calendar. We love to have adult family members help us for this special activity!
The St. Paul Benefit Auction will be taking place in our Family Life Center under the theme “Roll Out the Red Carpet.” There will be an online silent auction before the night of the event, along with on-site silent auction items and a live auction. This is a fun-filled event that you don’t want to miss! If you would like to make a donation or know of a business that would be willing to donate an item or money, please let me know! In addition, our pre-K classes will be putting baskets together for the auction under the theme “Family Adventures.” Stay tuned and watch for an email with details!
