Second week (9/7)

Week two was a success. We worked through routines and began digging through some content. Thank you for continuing to encourage and support your student as we are still very early into the 26/27 school year.

And thank you for coming to Back to School parent information night. As a mom of 4, I truly understand how difficult it is to extend the day into the evening while managing multiple schedules in multiple locations for multiple family members. After a full day of work, myself, I know extra isn’t what is needed. But I sincerely appreciate the time you carved out to come and see what is new and different and happening inside our fourth grade classroom.

Looking at the week upcoming, we have 4 days of academics.

This week we will wrap up our opening Bible stories from the beginning of The Word. We have practiced our memory verses and are ready for testing our head and heart knowledge. The memory work sheets for the verses were printed and given to each student. Here is the reference:

Tues: Revelation 2:10b “Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.”

Fri: Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

We will continue on in our Reading unit about Networks while preparing for our first SPELLING TEST on Friday.

I have given your student the suffixes and the base words and they have access to their worksheets and activities from in class time throughout the week. If you have any questions or concerns, please email me.

The Spelling pattern for the week will look at the following suffixes: -s, -es, -ed, -est, -er. The list of words we will test on include: cries, shipping, scarier, saddest, earlier, laziest, prettier, tagged, tied, denies.

Each week as we close the week and look into the week ahead, our church provides multiple opportunities to rest and restore our bodies, minds and spirits through multiple worship times: Saturday evening at 5pm, Sunday morning at 8am, 9:30am, and 11am, and Monday evenings at 6:30pm. Come join me!

Blessings on your weekend. See you next week!
