This week our theme is “Nuts about Numbers.” In our letter journals, we will be working on the letter “C” for count. We will practice writing both the letter C and the numbers 0-5. We will also work on number recognition and counting through books and activities. We will go on a number hunt through the school and look for the numbers 1-10. We will count and look at the pictures in the book 10 Black Dots by Donald Crews. Then, we will have a chance to count some dots and make our own pictures. Our Bible story this week is Jesus is Baptized by John from Matthew 3:13-17. We will talk about how Jesus is God’s Son and how He did everything necessary to save us from our sin.
The 3PreK classes will be celebrating Easter on Thursday, March 26th and Friday, March 27th. We will be going on an Easter Hunt, and we will need your help to make it a fun event. We are asking for donations of small items by Monday March 23rd or Tuesday March 24th to contribute to the hunt. You can donate anything small, for example, Pencils, PlayDoh, Bubbles, Chalk, Plastic Eggs filled with candy or a toy, etc. Please bring 14 of your item so that all of the kids on the class are looking for the same things. Your donation is greatly appreciated and the kids will be sure to have a great time. We will also need plastic gallon water or milk jugs for a project to make our Easter Baskets. Please clean and save them for us and bring them to school as you collect them. Thank you for your help!
The Lenten Season has begun where we reflect on what God has done for us through His Son, Jesus! St. Paul Lutheran Church has Lenten Services every Wednesday at 4:30pm or 6:30pm. Please come and worship with us as we learn and grow in Jesus’ love together. Dinners are available between services.
