Fourth Grade Weekly Update (5/26-5/29)
Good afternoon, fourth grade families!
 
Here are your updates for our second to last week of school: 
  • Track and Field Day Volunteers: We are still looking for a few more volunteers to help with Track and Field day. If you are interested and able to help, please sign up using the following link:  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0C4DABA92EAAFBCE9-64066946-track
  • Wax Museum: Our wax museum will take place Friday morning, from 9-10:30. Please feel free to stop by and celebrate the hard work that fourth grade has put into this project! 
    • Students are encouraged to dress like their person on the day of the wax museum. Please do not feel like any items need to be purchased. We are hoping to get creative and use items already at home to dress like our person!
    • Students will be writing a very short speech to share on the day of the museum. Our goal is to have these short speeches memorized. Students can work on these this weekend if they so choose, and we will practice lots in class next week. 
  • Social Studies: We are finishing the year up by creating a “Wisconsin Book”. We will spend next week in class finishing this up. In their books, students are reviewing the five regions of Wisconsin, our major cities, waterways, and points of interest, and writing a poem about our state to demonstrate our learning from this past year. If students do not finish in class next week, they will be encouraged to bring it home to finish up. 
  • Memory: 
    • For Tuesday:  Romans 1:16: For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
    • For Thursday: 

      Second half of Luther’s third article: In the same way He calls, gathers, enlightens, and sanctifies the whole Christian church on earth, and keeps it with Jesus Christ in the one true faith. In this Christian church He daily and richly forgives all my sins and the sins of all believers. On the Last Day He will raise me and all the dead, and give eternal life to me and all believers in Christ.

      This is most certainly true.
