Dear Families,
This week was a blast! Our Field trip to Mequon Nature Preserve was fantastic! We had great weather for a winter day: the sun was shining, the wind wasn’t blowing, and not a cloud in the sky. We learned so much!
This Past Week:
This week we began our journey to the manger. We heard about the angel Gabriel who told Elizabeth and Mary about the babies they were carrying. Our new focus for a few days in Math is fractions. You can practice this at home while baking and using measuring cups. For Reading, The detectives are on the case and solving many mysteries! In Science, we continue our journey with Motion and Forces. The bridges that were built were mostly successful.
Next week:
Christian Character Formation Project jumps to the New Testament and focuses on John baptizing Jesus. Our virtue is RESPECT: God’s power for you to honor Him and others. We will pose this question: How can you honor God by following His plan?
A peek ahead takes us to an advent journey of the Story of Jesus birth, in math we will wrap up the fractions lessons. The little detectives continue the NEW UNIT: Mysteries! In Science we will continue our new unit, Force and Motion.
Scholastic Book online order: RMQFW Due Date Monday, December 20. Then I will place all online orders.

Tuesday 12/14
The Tenth Commandment
You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox
or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
What does this mean?
We should fear and love God so that we do not entice or force away our neighbor’s
wife, workers, or animals, or turn them against him, but urge them to stay and do
their duty.

CCFP
John 5:23 – That all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.
