Fifth Week 9/28

Thank you for your continued commitment to supporting your students as they grow this fourth grade year. It has been wonderful to see the students each morning with smiles and exciting things to share. I am thankful for the opportunity to come alongside you, your students and your families this school year.

Looking at the week upcoming, we have some big items to address:

Tonight, Friday, September 25th from 6-7:30p we have our school wide Pumpkin Farm night at Creekside Valley in Mequon. Thank you to Mrs. Tracy Ernst and her family for providing this relational opportunity.

This week we have our Musical! Our scripts have been highlighted for home practice. We have notecards to use for rehearsals here at school. Please spend time each evening at home reading through the parts WITH EXPRESSION. This will help students share God’s message with the hearers! Our performances are Friday, October 2nd at 9a and again at 6p. Students NEED TO BE PRESENT AT BOTH.

We have practiced our memory verses and will continue preparing our head and heart knowledge. The memory work sheets for the verses were printed and given to each student. Here is the reference:

Tues: Mark 16:15 “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”

Fri: Psalm 56:11 “In God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me?”

We have finished MAP testing and I am proud to say all students worked hard at attending during the testing. They work hard to share their knowledge daily; I am grateful for your support always.

We will continue on in our Reading unit about Networks, this week moving into the genre of Informational Text. I am especially excited about this text as it talks about training runners!!  We will also work toward preparing for our SPELLING TEST on Friday. I have given your students access to their worksheets and activities from in class time throughout the week. If you have any questions or concerns, please email me.

The Spelling pattern for the week will look at the following pattern: Vowel teams and Digraphs. The list of words we will test on include: increase, yesterday, achievement, virtue, continue, meadow, deceive, agreement, proceed, remainder

Each week as we close the week and look into the week ahead, our church provides multiple opportunities to rest and restore our bodies, minds and spirits through multiple worship times: Saturday evening at 5pm, Sunday morning at 8am, 9:30am, and 11am, and Monday evenings at 6:30pm. Come join me!

Blessings on your weekend. See you next week!
