SCIENCE BLOCKS:    TUESDAY & THURSDAY 

We will continue our unit on Matter. We will continue to explore properties of matter and we will learn about how scientists use properties of matter.  We will apply what we learn in class to fruit and sports equipment during a few investigations.  Students can expect a checkpoint on matter and properties late in the week. We will be focusing on how to classify (or sort) matter by its properties.  5th graders will be SCIENCE DETECTIVES, using what they have learned to determine what mystery substances are given in a series of investigations.
