To Kill a Mockingbird projects are due Tuesday, May 12th.  We’ll begin our final novel I Must Betray You.  It takes place in Romania when Nicolae Ceaușescu ruled the country from 1965 to 1989.  His dictatorship forced the citizens to endure some very difficult circumstances, and our author does not gloss over many of them.  Ruta Sepetys brings voice to those who were limited by this dictator, his lies, and his Securitate spies.  Through this novel, we will gain critical background information to these events, inspiring us to cherish our freedoms and acknowledge the price of them.
