Our first novel is The False Prince by Jennifer Nielsen.  Through it, we’ll review reading strategies that cause us to better connect with characters, allowing us to better understand circumstances that are perhaps very different from our own.  Expect nearly daily reading reflections, such as comprehension checks and reader responses, which communicate what we think about what we read, not just simply retelling the details.  In the thinking and in the sharing is the learning!
