We’ll continue working with creating fluency through compound and complex sentences as well as deepening the impact of our writing through word choice and voice.  Our assessment over our current mentor sentence will be on Monday.

We’ve begun writing our Letters of Apology.  Each will contain the following information:

• Share how you value the relationship
• Confess what you did was wrong
• Determine a way to fix the problem; 
  • Acknowledge that repairing takes time and commitment
• Share what it would mean to restore the relationship
  • Restate how you value the relationship

Students chose their topics based upon the required parts or information as well as thinking about what most needed to be said.  Some of our apologies are poignant, coming from the heart, and others are coming from a place less thought about. 🙂
