This week, we will be having flash debates. Students will be partnered up and assigned a side of a hot topic that they will need to research and build a defense for. The purpose of this will be to practice our nonfiction skills when reading more complex argumentative texts. We will be working with our unit terms: claim, argument, reasons, and evidence.
