On Monday, vocab books will be handed out and I’ll go over how vocab works in 5th grade. Students can expect 3 pages of homework each week. Homework will be assigned each Monday and always be due on Thursday. Each unit will last two weeks. There will be a vocab quiz that focuses on definitions on the first Friday of the two week unit, and then the vocab unit test will take place on the second Friday of the unit. Since we are kicking off our first unit, I will go through each page this week with the students so that they understand the expectations.
