2026-2027 Welcome!

Dear 5th Grade Parents and students,

Welcome Back… and WELCOME to St. Paul Middle School!   I am so excited to have an awesome fifth grade year with all of you!  We are going to have so much fun learning and growing together.

I wanted to touch base with you before you come for Orientation Day, on August 20.  The times for this day are from 10-12 and 4-6.  First get your picture taken upstairs in the FLC (Family Life Center / Cafeteria).  Then, make your way down to our 5th grade homeroom in room 120.  Please come into the classroom, say hello and go through the stations I have set up for you.

🔼I will have a few items for you to pick up:

  • You daily / weekly class schedule
  • Supplies (if you ordered from 1st Day Supplies)
  • Ozaukee Art Fair project and check (for those who participated)

🔽You have a few items to drop off:

  • “Tell the Teacher More” form.  If you sent it electronically, I will have a copy printed for you. If you need another form, just let me know.
  • Kleenex Boxes and Clorox Wipes
  • Locker Combination
  • Physical Forms (to participate in extracurricular sports)

📝Other things to do in the classroom

  • Sign up for fall sports
  • Parents can sign the athletic / music handbook

✏️🎒 If your child has their school supplies, they may bring them in and place them in their lockers.  Lockers will have names on them in the hallway. There will also be a list of locker numbers in the classroom I’m  looking forward to seeing you all.

💻 Chrome Book Info: I also want to let you know that each 5th grader will borrow the same Chromebook from last year – to use throughout the year at school.  Your 5th grader will carry the Chrome book from room to room and be able to use it when the teacher has given permission to do so.  Personal devices from home will no longer be used by any student at school.  The middle school teachers met today and have all agreed that the Chromebooks are not to be used in the morning when they get to school to finish homework that should have been finished the night before at home.  However, if a student has a question on an assignment and needs to access an assignment on the Chromebook to ask a teacher for help, that is allowed.  These Chromebooks will stay at school, and will accompany your child throughout the day as they move from class to class.  If you have a case at home for a chrome book, you may want to bring it to school and use it with the chromebook you will be given.

⛪👗 The first day of school is August 25.  It is Not A CHAPEL DAY this year. But Day 2 IS a chapel day, so please remember to wear chapel attire on WED.

🏫 K-8 Back to School Night:  Our Back to School night is scheduled for August 25.  Everyone should meet in the Family Life Center at 6:00 for the large group meeting.  Then you will be dismissed to go to your child’s homeroom teacher’s meeting.  You can choose to either go to the 6:30 or the 7:15 homeroom teacher meeting.  There will also be two band meetings.  One at 7:15 and the other at 8:00.
