Weekly Update

April 28th-May 2nd, 2025 “April Showers Bring May Flowers”

This past week we learned all about frogs. We learned about the life cycle of a frog, and we made a fun frog craft. We also continued to work on the letter Ee

This upcoming week we are going to be focusing on April showers bring May flowers. We will be working on gifts for Mother’s day, creating some fun flower crafts, and working on the letter Uu for umbrella.

As the end of the year approaches, there are some important dates for you to remember.  We will be celebrating the special women in our lives with a Mother’s Day Derby on Friday, May 9th. Invitations were sent home last week. The children can invite Moms, Grandmas, Aunts or other special adult female friends to attend a day doing special activities together. Please return your RSVP by Friday, May 2nd.

In addition, we will be singing in church on May 11th at the 9:30 am service. Even though you may not be a member of our church, we want our children to see the importance of sharing their love for Jesus with others. This is a wonderful opportunity for our children!

We have dates scheduled to go on an end of the year field trip at the Gall Horse Farm on May 19th. This will be an outdoor adventure where we will learn about how to take care of horses. The kids will all have the opportunity to ride a horse too! A permission slip was sent home last week. If you would like to attend the field trip as a chaperone, a background check will need to be filled out. If you plan to come along, please remember that you need to have completed your background check. I have attached the process below:

PROCESS:

  1. Turn in the Background Check Request Form to the school office (available in school office)
  2. If willing, please include $7.00 to cover the cost (payable to St. Paul)
  3. In a day or two you should be receiving an email from a company called MinistrySafe.  Follow the directions given as they will be performing the background check.
  4. If you don’t receive an email from MinistrySafe, please contact the office so we can follow up to make sure we have the proper information.

We will also have special closing services on our last day of school May 23rd.  The closing services will last approximately 30 minutes. Both Ms. Szydel’s AM class and PM class will have their service at 10:00am. All parents/family members are strongly encouraged to attend the last day of school.
