Week of August 24th-August 28th
Hello parents,
Thank you so much for taking the time to drop off supplies, see the classroom, and meet me prior to our first day tomorrow. I wanted to remind you of a couple of things before school starts on Tuesday.
Tuesday, August 25th – 1st Day of School
– Please arrive between 8:00 and 8:15. School officially starts at 8:15am and dismisses at 3:12pm.
– Please pack a healthy snack and a water bottle for your child.
– We will have PE on the first day – so make sure they have their PE shoes at school.
(If your child wears closed back sandals without socks, it might not hurt to send an extra pair of socks to keep with the PE shoes.)
Wednesday, August 26th – Chapel Day
– Chapel is at 8:25am. You are welcome to join us. If you join us, sit near the back as the classrooms have designated spots in the chapel.
– Please have your child follow our chapel day dress code as described in the school handbook. The handbook is on the website in the “Resources” section.
Thursday, August 27th – We do have our very first memory due. “Revelation 2:10 – Be faithful, unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.”
This is also Panther Parent Back to School Night from 4:30-6:30. Bring the whole family. There will be a wide variety of food stations, fun and fellowship time. Don’t forget to bring your ice cream coupons that you received at Orientation Day.
Each Friday, I will send out an update with a breakdown of what we are doing in each subject.
Save the date: Tuesday, September 1st
This will be our parent (parents only) information night. You will start in the Family Life Center at 6:00pm for a group meeting with Mr. Yurk. You will then come to my classroom for a classroom meeting at either 6:30 or 7:15. Here is a letter to share just a little bit of what to expect as a 4th grade parent. Mrs. Anderson and I are very excited to work with your 4th grader this year.
