Dear 8th Grade Parents and students,
We made it through our first full week. We even managed to get in the MAP tests this week. Some of the 8th graders really stepped it up in the chapel service this past Wednesday. I was really proud of the job they did under the leadership of Mr. Fischer. We are still working on being better listeners and being more aware of our surroundings. There is a tad of growing up that needs to occur. Keep praying for your 8th grader and the rest of the class as they navigate through the rest of the year.

The St. Paul Auction is October 16. We are doing a class basket again and our theme is “Thanksgiving”. I am looking for all things about fall or thanksgiving to fill our basket. Brenda K. has offered to do the shopping for the basket if you would prefer to donate cash instead of items. Just have your student give the cash to me in an enveloped marked auction, and I will send it on to Brenda. If you’re looking for items to buy here are a few thoughts: anything that has to do with autumn decorating, fall items for the table such as placemats, napkins, serving platters and fun fall dishes, candles, fall wines and Octoberfest beers, gift cards to grocery stores, and the list goes on and on. Please have your items/cash to school by October 12. It’s always nice to have a larger item or two. Maybe some of the money brought in can be used for a certificate to Cedar Creek Farm or a similar place.
ATTENTION GIRLS IN GRADES 5-8
WOMEN OF FAITH: This Bible Class / Craft / time will be held on Sunday mornings starting September 19 from 8:15-9:15am in the Youth Room.
