But a sudden tragedy forces Esperanza and Mama to flee to California and settle in a Mexican farm labor camp. • From Mr. Yurk:
Dear 6th and 7th Grade Parents:
As you know, Mrs. Butz will be starting chemo treatments on Monday.  We need to keep her and her family in our thoughts and prayers.  As we look to the last four weeks of school, Mrs. Butz will not be able to teach.  Under the supervision of pastors and myself, Ms. Amling (student teaching with Mr. Wellna), will be teaching religion. Ms. Amling has accepted a Call to teach religion at Martin Luther High School in Greendale next year so this is a great opportunity for her as she prepares for her first year of teaching.  Ms. Amling has met with Mrs. Butz, as well as Pastor Kruse and myself in preparation for the next four weeks.  I appreciate your understanding as we go through this quick transition.  Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions.

    Mr. Yurk
