Weekly Update - September 21, 2020

We did it!

We made it through our first five day week of the new school year! It has been great to see students getting back into the routine of school, study, sports, and family. We have added some new routines in there as well! As we have begun to dive into God's Word in Religion Class we are beginning to look at how God speaks to us though and uses His Word to grow our faith.

6th Grade

As we begin our study of the New Testament we are looking at Jesus' birth and childhood. We will be studying the birth of John the Baptist and Jesus, as well as looking at two faithful believers who were waiting for the coming Savior and their response to meeting Jesus.

First TWENTY books of the New Testament - Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Romans, 1 & 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 & 2 Thessalonians, 1 & 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews, and James

Journal #2 - DUE  September 25th
We'll hear a lot about the Law and the Gospel in Religion class. Explain what the Law is and what it shows us. Explain what the Gospel is and what it shows us.

7th Grade

This week we will take a look at the Small Catechism what it is and why we study it, as well as learning more about how to read God's Word.
