For December, we will be learning about God’s Special Message for Mary, John the Baptist is Born, Jesus the Savior is Born, The Wise Men and God Keeps Jesus Safe From Herod in Jesus Time.  In Math, we will be strengthening our number concepts.   In Reading, we will be focusing on the letter sounds, sounding out words, and rhyming. 

Please remember in the winter months if snow is on the ground, boots and snow pants need to be worn to go outside on the snow.   Please also remember to include hats, mittens, and an extra pair of socks(they tend to get wet quickly).  PLEASE LABEL ALL ITEMS WITH YOUR CHILD”S NAME AT HOME.   Please plan to have a large cloth grocery bag for their items.  Bags will be sent home each night.  Thank you for your help. 

Dear Parents,   This coming week, the Lutheran Junior Honor Association will launch a Stuff the Stocking servant event:  a sock drive for Bob’s Under the Bridge, an organization founded on a mission to provide  basic necessities for those living without a permanent home.  During these few weeks before Christmas break, students are invited to bring in pairs of new socks, and as those socks will be distributed to those living in difficult circumstances. We encourage the more practical socks for men, women, and children.
