INFORMATION/UPDATES:

Brown Homework Envelopes: Starting Monday, all of your child’s graded work from the previous week will be sent home in their brown homework envelope. Please look over your child’s work, file it away (if at all possible), sign and date the envelope, and help your child to remember to bring it back to school Tuesday. This will happen every Monday.

We sing in church on Sunday! To kick off our church and school picnic this Sunday, K-8 will be singing at the 11am outdoor service. We expect all students to attend. If you are unable to join us, please let Ms. Bremer know as soon as possible. Thank you for your communication and teaching your child the importance of attending church for their faith walk.

Take-Home Folder/Assignment Notebook: Please continue to check your child’s assignment notebook and take-home folder as frequently as possible. In the mad dash that is homeroom at the end of the day, I am stamping assignment notebooks more as a confirmation that the assignment notebook is out and open, and have not been able to confirm that all assignments are written down accurately. That is just the reality of the 6 minutes we have to come together, pray, and pack up for the day. I will continue to project all of the homework for the day (including long-term assignments). Please encourage your child to write down all assignments – even if they finish during the school day – just to verify that they have the most accurate information. It’s always a great feeling to check off a completed task!  The time you invest now will majorly pay off during the rest of the school year! It is much easier to build a good habit than break a bad habit.

Auction Donations: Last week, Courtney Braun (our classroom parent) sent out an email regarding the upcoming auction. This year, 5th grade will be putting together a basket with the theme of “Made in Wisconsin.” If you pick up something for the basket, please send it to school with your child. I will collect auction donations.
