Weekly Update
March 18-March 22, 2024 “Easter”
This week we read the story Stone Soup and learned how important it is to share and take care of each other. We made our own stone soup in class and the students enjoyed helping prepare it and try it! Thank you for your donations for our soup! We continued to work on our art projects for the fair and the students are so proud of their work. We talked about the letter V this week and the sound it makes. The students practiced writing the letter V and came up with words that start with that sound. Our Bible lessons this week were about Jesus walking on water, the Good Samaritan, and Jesus visiting Mary and Martha.
Next week we will be learning about Easter. We will play some fun Easter games and will get to use and taste jelly beans. We will spend the week talking about Jesus and the events that led up to him dying on the cross. We will hear about the tomb then being empty. Our letter for next week is the letter Jj. We will practice writing the letter and hear the sound it makes. Our week will end on Friday with Family Day.
Please don’t forget to bring in your child’s Easter hunt donation by March 18th. We will have our Easter hunt on Wednesday March 20th.
