Week of November 8, 2021
Dear Parents,
I hope everyone will be able to enjoy the long weekend!! This next week we will talk about how we honor our veterans and thank them for all they sacrifice. Chapel will be on Thursday to help us honor our Veterans. This also means that Chapel dress will be on Thursday.
The Christian Character Formation Project theme for this week is Integrity. We will be looking at the story of Job.
Keep reading for the Pizza Hut Reading Rewards program Book It. I didn’t get the next calendar tracker out this week. The students will have it on Wednesday.
Come be a part of our 1st WHOLE SCHOOL BOOK CLUB! We will be reading “The Family Under the Bridge”. The book is 95 pages and all ages will enjoy reading it. You can set your own time and schedule to read as a family. If you would like to participate, please fill out the permission slip that came home today and return it. Mrs. Gieschen will send home a bag DECEMBER 1st with the book and some treasures to help you have some discussions and fun while you read. Information about the next book order was given last week. I made a mistake on it. Since we don’t have school on Monday, the orders will be due by Wednesday, November 10. If you choose to order online the class code is XJTLW.
I talked with the students today about our Christmas/Advent Service coming up. We are doing this with 3rd Grade. We have the first one scheduled. It will be on December 1. We will present it in the morning for chapel and again in the evening for the Advent service. The students were given parts today. They will need to memorize their parts. We will be starting to practice the week of November 15. I would like to use these parts as their memorization on Thursday next week.
Since next week is a short week, there will be no spelling words/test.
