October 5-October 9, 2026 “Community Helpers”
It was all about numbers this week in 4K. We practiced counting numbers, identifying numbers, and writing them. In math we started a new unit all about shapes and we focused on squares and triangles this week. In our alphabet books we worked on the letter Cc and practiced writing it and saying its sound. Our Bible lessons were about Abraham sharing his land and God keeping his promise to Abraham.
On Friday the PM class had a special visit from Dr. Patch, a local Dentist here in Grafton. He talked to us about being a dentist and how we can care for our teeth. It was a fun afternoon!
Next week we will be learning about Community Helpers. We will make our own community helper hat and learn about the importance of each community helper. Our letter will be Dd and we will practice writing it and hearing its sound. In math we will continue learning about shapes. Our Bible lessons will be about the city of Sodom and God making Abraham’s faith grow.
Don’t forget that next week are Parent Teacher Conferences. I am looking forward to discussing your child’s progress with you!
Also next week is a half day of school on Friday October 9th. There will be no PM class that day.
Sunday October 11th at the 11:00 service, PreK sings. Please have your child sit with you in church and when the Pastor calls the students up they can head up front. Once they are done signing they will return to their seats by you. We look forward to singing for you all!
If you haven’t turned in your field trip permission slip and payment, please do so asap.
Lastly, you should have received an email from your room parent regarding the annual St. Paul Auction. Each class puts together a themed basket that is auctioned off to help raise funds for our school. Your help is needed and appreciated! Our theme for our basket is Family Adventures. More details on what items we are looking for can be found in your room parent’s email. If you didn’t receive an email please let me know. Thank you for your support!
