August 25-28, 2026 “God Made Me”
I am so happy to officially welcome you to St. Paul Lutheran School for the 2026-2027 school year! I am excited to get to know your family and work with you and your child under the theme “Christ’s Kingdom in Motion.” This week, we will spend lots of time getting to know each other and learning about our school and classroom. Please remember to have your child’s name labeled on his/her backpack (inside of the backpack is fine) and include their folder and extra clothes in it as well. In addition, it is important to check their folder each night to see the important papers that your child will be bringing home.
Our theme for the first week of school is “God Made Me.” We will learn how God made us all special and we will sing some fun songs to go along with this. We will paint our library bags and spend time getting to know each other, our classroom rules, and routines. Your child will get to make a fun keychain for their backup with some special color changing beads and we will also take little trips around the school and find where the gym, library and chapel are. We also plan to get outside for some playtime on the playground. We will focus on the letter Ii this week and we will practice writing it and hearing its sound.
Our Bible Lesson will be “What is God Like?” from Psalm 115:3. We will talk about how we cannot see God, but we know that He loves us and cares for us.
Mark your calendars for Thursday August 27th for the Back to School Family Event being hosted rain or shine from 4:30-6:30pm. There will be food to purchase so plan to have dinner here! Bounce houses and ice cream will also be available for students. It’s a great evening filled with fun and fellowship as you get to know other families here at St. Paul.
