Weekly Update

May 4 – May 8, 2026 “Safety Smart”

It is so hard to believe that we have reached the month of May! The school year has flown by and we have a lot of fun things this last month of school.

This week we had fun with recycling. We reused some materials to make our own geodes out of egg cartons and we made paper Earths out of coffee filters. We practiced the letter Gg in our alphabet books and read many stories about recycling. Our AM class had a special visit with a garbage truck on Tuesday as well! Our Bible lessons were about Jesus calming the storm and Jesus healing the paralyzed man.

Next week we will be talking about safety. We will talk about how to be safe at home, school, on the playground, at the swimming pool, and when crossing the street. We will work on the letter Xx and practice writing it and saying its sound. Our Bible lessons will be about Jairus’ daughter and Jesus teaching Simon. We are also looking forward to our special day with mom next week Friday!

This week I sent home the May calendar as well as the field trip form for Roden’s Farm. Please note that there is a cost for chaperones as well as students. If you have any questions please let me know.
