Weekly Update (2/28-3/4)
Good afternoon and Happy Friday!
 
Here are our class announcements looking forward to our first week in March:
  • Even Odds Pizza fundraiser is Tuesday, March 1.  50% of all orders will go to St. Paul.  Families need to mention St. Paul when ordering or picking up.  Orders can be made for delivery or take out from 10 am – 8 pm. 
  • Interest day is a week from today (Friday, March 4). Students will get their schedules next week. Dismissal will be at 11:40.
  • Next week is the last week of the second trimester. I sent home tests and assignments with students yesterday to be signed in their yellow folders. I also gave students the option to make corrections on any test or assignment for partial credit back. Corrections will be due at the end of next week.
  • Wednesday is Ash Wednesday. Our chapel service will be led by Pastor Maschke.  As part of the service, students will have the opportunity to have ashes imposed on their foreheads. This is optional. 
  • Our Christian Character Formation trait for next week is respect. We will be looking at the story of Jesus’ transfiguration. 
  • Memory:
    • For Tuesday:  “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better” (Ephesians 1:17).
    • For Thursday: The Seventh commandment and explanation-  You shall not steal. What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not take our neighbor’s money or possessions, or get them in any dishonest way, but help him to improve and protect his possessions and income. 
  • Spelling- Our spelling focus will be what we originally had planned for this week (double consonants)
