Family Scripture: “They were terrified and asked each other, ‘Even the wind and the waves obey him!’” (Mark 4:41)
Updates
As the student-led conferences and National Lutheran Schools Week are now behind us, I just want to express how very grateful I am to not only teach, but to teach in this place with these students and to partner with their parents and families.
Although I’ve heard the story of Jesus calming the storm many times, the family scripture verse of the week caught me. In their fear and because of their relationship with him, they turned to Jesus and asked for help. Jesus understood the doubt of his disciples, he loved them in spite of that, and he used his power to meet their need. He is just waiting to do the same for us!

Christian Character Formation Project: The Bible study and lessons throughout the week will cause us to think about this question: How can we courageously face the storms of life?
Virtue — COURAGE: God’s power for you to overcome fear.
