Weekly Newsletter (4/4-4/8)
Good afternoon and happy April!
Here are your updates and events coming up next week:
- This upcoming Wednesday, April 6, our class will be hosting chapel. We have been working on this in class and are very excited for Wednesday! Students will be bringing their scripts home this weekend to practice. (They are not expected to memorize the whole script- just to be familiar enough with their readings and lines that they don’t need to rely entirely on their script on Wednesday.) An email reminder will go home Tuesday evening for this, as well. Parents and family members are welcome to sit in the balcony if you would like to attend.
- The Fine Arts Festival will be taking place next weekend (April 8-10) in the Family Life Center. Students have been working on a feature piece for this event that will be displayed. Please see the Echo for more information.
- Please make sure your calendars are marked for the 3-5 grade musical, taking place on April 29. Roles and scripts went home today for students to highlight and read through this weekend.
- Permission slips and more information for our Madison trip will be coming out this week. Please remember that the trip is scheduled for Thursday, April 14.
- Christian Character: Our Christian Character Formation Project trait for next week is self-sacrifice. We will be reading Mark 14:1-9 (Jesus Anointed at Bethany).
- Memory:
- For Tuesday: “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32
- For Thursday: Students will recite their lines from their musical script. (We will look over and highlight individual lines next week in class).
- Spelling: Our focus for next week is the schwa pattern.
