Weekly Newsletter (3/7-3/11)
Good afternoon!
We just concluded another awesome week in 4th grade with our Interest Day. The kids did a great job navigating the school and exploring some new hobbies today. With still more excitement coming up in the next few weeks, here are your updates:
- Family Day Survey: We are excited to be hosting Family Day on Friday, March 18. - End of the 2nd Trimester: This week marks the end of the second trimester. Final grades will be sent out next week.
- The LJHS will be hosting their puppy chow and rice krispie treat sale this Tuesday during school. Each item will be $3.

- Christian Character: Our Christian Character focus for next week is respect. We will be reading the story of Jesus blessing the children in Mark 10.
- Memory:
- For Tuesday: “When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these’” (Mark 10:14).
- For Thursday: The Eighth Commandment- You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not tell lies about our neighbor, betray him, slander him, or hurt his reputation, but defend him, speak well of him, and explain everything in the kindest way.
- Spelling: Our spelling focus for next week will be looking at Greek roots (phon, graph, meter, scop, and micro).
- Telephone
- Biography
- Telescope
- Photograph
- Microwave

- Barometer
- Microscope
- Headphones
