Weekly Newsletter (1/31-2/4)
Good afternoon, fourth grade families!
I hope you have all had a good week and have stayed warm. We just finished up another great Lutheran Schools Week here in fourth grade. Thank you for all you do to support our class and school!
Here are a few updates looking into next week:
- We will be taking our field trip to Concordia for The Little Mermaid on February 8. Chaperones will be notified at the beginning of next week. Thank you so much for your willingness to attend!
- Christian Character Formation: Our Christian Character Formation trait that we are focusing on next week is courage. We will be reading the story of Jesus calming the storm.
- Memory:
- For Tuesday: “They were terrified and asked each other, ‘Who is this? Even the wind and waves obey him!’” (Mark 4:41).
- For Thursday: The Third Commandment and explanation
-
Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.
What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not despise preaching and His Word, but hold it sacred and gladly hear and learn it.
-
- Spelling: Our spelling focus for this week is the /j/, /ks/, and /kw/ consonant sounds.
- village
- except
- explain
- quick
- charge
- bridge
- knowledge
- question
- equal
- queen
- excited
- expect
- Texas
- fudge
- excellent
- exercise
- quart

- expert
Please reach out with any questions. Have a blessed weekend!
In His Service,
Amy Acton
