We hope you all had an amazing labor day weekend! Our theme this coming week is “Jesus wants me to “Beeeee” a good friend. This is something we will of course focus on all year as we learn and grow in 2K. We will model how to “beeeee” kind, helpful and safe. We enjoyed visiting the new sensory-motor lab across the hall last week. It’s a great spot for us to break into small groups and enjoy a space to move on rainy days.

     Students will receive a small book with a simple sentence and pictures of their 2K friends.  Please read this over with them at home so they can get to know names of their friends at school.   They will love seeing their picture on the smart board this week as we practice saying each other’s name at circle time too. 

     This week we will make some bingo dot pages with a bee and the letter “B”, along with a finger puppet bee  .We’ll bring our friend picture hunt out into the hallway or on outside fence for some exploration too.

     In Jesus’ time we will still be discussing how God made us each special through book and song .            ( special letters in our name, our hair, our giggle…)  We’ll be singing, Jesus loves me, This little light of mine, My best friend is Jesus,.  Some great snack ideas include: Goldfish, applesauce pouches, yogurt( big container we can scoop from is fine) , pirate booty, yogurt bites/melts, graham crackers, bananas (we can slice),grapes we can cut into quarters, cheerios or other small cereal, muffins, and soft Nutrigrain type bars. It does not need to be in individual packages. Thank you!
