This week we explore what it means to be thankful. We’ll read a simple My 1st thanksgiving book to briefly share the history of the holiday. 2K will create a little turkey keepsake project and do some scented pumpkin pie art. We have a Five little turkeys felt board story the class can help me tell. Happy Thanksgiving, from our classroom to you! Our songs this week include:
To the tune of ” Pop goes the weasel”
A Turkey is a funny bird, his head goes wobble wobble
But all he says is just one word..”Gobble, Gobble, Gobble!”
To the tune of ” Row,row, row your boat”
Thank, thank, thank the Lord
For the things He gives.
He died for us, and loves us so.
Thank Him every day!
Jesus time: This week we will talk about ways we give thanks to God: praying, singing, and sharing kindess and our favorite things with each other. I will read the story of the 10 men with leprosy and focus on the one who came back to say “Thank you” to Jesus.
