Happy Friday and Happy May 1st!
May is filled with lots of funtivities so be sure you are checking your calendar often.
National Day of Prayer:
On Thursday, May 7, our school will participate in the National Day of Prayer beginning at 8:30am at the flagpole on the north side of campus. During this time, we will pray together and recognize our local police officers, firefighters, veterans, and celebrate the 250th anniversary of our country. Students are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue in honor of this special day. If the weather does not allow us to be outside, the event will take place inside the church.
Dear Parents,
Our end of the year MAP testing (this week and next) is rapidly approaching. It has been a great year and we have seen so much growth in learning since the beginning of the year. We are so proud of the dedication to excellence and mastery that your child has demonstrated. It is finally time for your student to shine and show off what they have learned.
Our testing will be the second and third weeks in May. It is very important that our students be present and ready to do their best on their assigned testing days. A good night of rest and a great breakfast to start the day is always needed!
Included with this letter, you will find an envelope and a piece of paper. Please write a short note of encouragement to your child. Let them know you will be praying for them.
Please return the envelope (with your child’s name written on it) to your classroom teacher by Friday, May 8th. Remember that this is a SECRET MISSION. We don’t want the students to know about your note til the day of their first test!
Students are allowed to wear shorts to school for the rest of the school year. Shorts must be mid-thigh length or longer and may have a decorative frayed hem. Spandex, biker shorts, cutoffs (jeans or sweatpants), torn shorts, tight or short shorts, and athletic shorts are not permitted. Students in PreK-4th grade may wear athletic shorts on non-chapel days with the understanding that they are mid-thigh length or longer. When the weather is cold, like it was on May 1, students should be dressed appropriately to go outside for recess.

REMINDER MAY 19th is our MADISON field trip. It is an all day, one on one field trip.
